The Planning Inspectorate has published an update setting out the Examining Authority’s plans to examine our application.

The update includes:

  • A date for the Programming Meeting, which will discuss the resources local authorities need to take part in the examination.
  • Dates for the Preliminary Meeting where the Examining Authority decide how the application will be examined and will hear Interested Parties’ views on the examination procedure. The examination starts after the Preliminary Meeting has closed.

For more information and details on what each meeting will cover, please see the update on the Planning Inspectorate’s website.

The Planning Inspectorate has also published a Frequently Asked Questions document to help you understand the process.

Following a comprehensive programme of consultation and stakeholder engagement, we submitted our application for a Development Consent Order to the Planning Inspectorate late last year and we are currently in the pre-examination phase – find out more about how we are seeking permission to build and operate the Lower Thames Crossing or explore our Development Consent Order application.
