M6 junction 34 to Burton Services carriageway surfacing

Guy Harrington

Carriageway surfacing work is due to take place on the M6 between junction 34 and Burton Services.

The work will take place on the northbound carriageway only and will include replacement of road markings and traffic sensor cables. When finished, motorists will feel the benefit of smoother and safer journeys.

This is how we plan to carry out the work:

  • From 13 to 19 September, there will be overnight traffic management on the M6 northbound junction 35 exit and entry slip roads. Lane closures will also be in place.
  • From 20 to 23 September, from 27 to 30 September, and from 4 to 7 October, there will be overnight full closure of M6 northbound between junctions 34 and 35. Signed diversion routes will be in place.
