M3 junction 14 Cox’s Rough bridge refurbishment

Guy Harrington

Work to replace the protective paint under the bridge which carries the M3 southbound carriageway over the link to the M27 westbound carriageway, near Eastleigh in Hampshire.

It will involve removing the existing paint, then applying new paint to the steel elements of the structure which will protect it from corrosion and extend its life span.

The link from the M3 southbound carriageway to the M27 westbound carriageway and the southbound entry slip road at junction 13 (from Leigh Road to travel south onto the M27) will be closed overnight for the duration of the scheme.
