A63 Melton to South Cave westbound resurfacing and associated work

Guy Harrington

Work to resurface the A63 mainline carriageway westbound between Melton and South Cave junctions to address surface defects, providing drivers and local residents with a smoother and quieter road surface.

Resurfacing work will also be carried out at the following slip roads:

  • Melton westbound exit slip road
  • Welton westbound exit slip road
  • South Cave westbound exit slip road
  • South Cave westbound entry slip road
  • South Cave eastbound exit slip road
  • Western Interchange eastbound exit slip road

To carry out the resurfacing work there will be some disruption to traffic between the Western Interchange and South Cave junctions on the A63.

Work will also take place at weekends to replace the steel barrier which runs alongside the bridge supports under the bridges between the A63 South Cave and Welton junctions (both eastbound and westbound verges). This work will improve safety for road users and also protect the bridges.

Drainage improvement work will also be carried out on Melton eastbound entry slip verge and traffic signs will be renewed between North Cave and Brighton Street.
