A5 Kilsby to Weedon essential maintenance

Guy Harrington

We’ll be carrying out essential maintenance work on the A5 between the A45 Weedon crossroads and Kilsby.

During this comprehensive scheme of work, we’ll carry out tree and vegetation clearance, repair and replace damaged drains, clear and re-profile drainage ditches, resurface and re-align the carriageway, install drainage kerbs and additional road gullies, refresh road markings, replace skid resistance surfacing and install road studs and traffic loops.

Once completed, all road users will benefit from improved road safety and a smoother carriageway.

To keep our programme for these works as short as possible and to minimise disruption to the local community, residents, businesses and road users, we will work:

  • overnight, Monday to Friday (week night closures)
  • between Friday evenings and Monday mornings (full weekend closures on selected weekends)

Please note that all our planned roadworks may be subject to change due to weather conditions or unforeseen circumstances.

To maintain a safe environment for our workforce and customers, the A5 will be closed in phases between the A43 Tove roundabout and Kilsby during our working hours.

During these closures we’ll put in place fully signed diversion routes which have been agreed with the local authority.

If you have any questions about this work, please contact our Public Liaison Officer Mike Healy email: infoA5kilsby@forkers.com or telephone: 07964 114 623.
