Works to resurface the A49 at Peterstow, and improve the junction at Harewood End.
From Monday 12 August, we’ll be switching to overnight working for the remainder of the work. There will be no restrictions on the A49 during the day.
We’ve listened to feedback from Herefordshire County Council and Peterstow Parish Council which indicates that residents and businesses are in favour of night-time working.
The work through the A49/A4137 Harewood End junction will continue to require overnight closures; however, we’ll keep these to a minimum as far as is possible.
- Phase 1: 3-way temporary traffic signals on the A49 mainline and A4137
- Phase 2: 2-way temporary traffic signals on A49 mainline and full closure on the A4137. Eastbound traffic to continue along the A49 to Wilton roundabout, traffic will be diverted south-west on the A40 to the junction with the A4137. Traffic will then be diverted from the A40 onto the A4137 where it will head north-west up to St Owen’s Cross
