A404 Marlow footbridge refurbishment

Guy Harrington

Work to the footbridge which crosses over the A404 near Marlow in Buckinghamshire, which will involve refurbishing the staircases and applying a new paint to the steel elements of the structure which will protect it from corrosion and extend its lifespan.

For safety reasons the footbridge will be removed for approximately 10 weeks. To do this the northbound and southbound carriageways of the A404, between the junction with the A4155 just outside Marlow and the Bisham Roundabout, and Parkway which runs parallel with the A404, will be closed over two non-consecutive weekends.

An alternative route for pedestrians who would normally use the bridge to get between Marlow and Westhorpe Park will be provided between August and October 2018. The route will go via Parkway and the Westhorpe Interchange.
