Our work so far
Our assessments for a new road link between Oxford and Milton Keynes have passed several key milestones.
We’re working with community representatives, environmental organisations, charities and transport groups to gather vital information that will help us develop our plans. The preferred corridors were announced in autumn 2018.
Read more about the preferred corridors and our work to date in our latest overview booklet.
This timeline shows all the important steps for the new road link so far and where you can find out more.
What’s happening next?
We’re continuing work to deliver a non-statutory public consultation on the expressway.
We’ll continue to engage closely with our stakeholders as we plan out the dates and detail of the consultation.
We’ll consult on potential route options in corridors B1 and B3. We’ll be looking for peoples’ views on key design elements including where junctions could be located, environmental considerations and buildability, among other factors, and alternatives.
Once the preferred route is announced there will be another opportunity to comment on our proposals with a second public consultation.
The timeline below shows the key milestones for this project. This is indicative and may change.
