Overview

In the Road Investment Strategy 2020-2025, government committed to developing a number of schemes that will be considered as part of a future roads investment period. This is one of the schemes that will be developed.

The A64 Hopgrove junction consists of a large roundabout with traffic signals. The approach from the south/west is dual carriageway. The route north/east of the roundabout comprises a short length of dual carriageway which then merges into single carriageway. It also connects with the A1237 York outer ring road.

This results in queues and congestion which cause delays and accidents. This scheme proposes to reduce these by improving road standards.
