If you’re planning an early or night-time getaway to avoid traffic, remember that much of our improvement and maintenance work is planned overnight for when our network is quieter, meaning your journey could still be affected.

Setting out safely for your journey

We want you to get to your destination safely. So before you set off, there are some simple vehicle checks you should carry out:

• Check your lights
• Check your oil
• Top up your screen wash
