Low emission vans trial
Our Air Quality Designated Fund contributed to a project with the Energy Saving Trust (EST) to enable the road trial of electric vans on our network to fully explore the barriers hampering their uptake.

Birchanger cycle path
The Cycling, Safety and Integration fund invested £800,000 to upgrade Birchanger cycle path which links Bishop’s Stortford to Stansted Airport carrying cyclists safely over the busy M11.

SAFETYcam is an intelligent site safety innovation protecting road workers currently on trial in the Midlands.

Catterick flood scheme
In September 2012, the Catterick area suffered major flooding which cost the region’s economy more than £2 million.

Tithebarn link road and bridge
The Growth and Housing fund worked in partnership with developers and Devon County Council to introduce a new road and pedestrian cycle bridge that provides a vital link for sustainable transport in Exeter.
